Ive decided that my upcoming new boat will be a BassCat. I think I want the Classic. A couple of questions yall might be able to help me with. 1) Will prices/equipment fluctuate greatly when ordering from one dealer or another? From the quote I have some equipment that is standard on the BCB website is being charged for by the dealer. Then you group various things together and call it a “vision package”, whats the deal? Im one of those people who like to know exactly what Im paying for and what that cost is. I dont want to be hosed on this one. 2) Whats the deal on picking it up from the factory besides it being an awesome experience!?! Is that always possible? 3) More to come….thanks guys!
The Vision, and Vision Tour Groups are the Pantera Classic packages. The equipment is listed on the web site, and the packages are there also. You can vary equipment somewhat for your needs, though not entirely on those packages. Your dealer can help more! BCB
I look forward to owning a new Classic in the very near future! Seems like a great group to be a part of!
I think if it was me Id be looking at an new 07 model for a Classic off of the lot if you can find one that has what you need. I havent looked in a while but there were some nice leftovers and the boat didnt change to any big degree in 08. Youre going to love your boat and this company.
If you are in the neighborhood of Northwest Arkansas,Waymack Marine has two excellent deals on a 07 classic and an 07 pantera 2. Both are beautifull colors. DwayneLast edited by jagzz4 on February 13th, 2008, 1:17 am, edited 1 time in total.
Things I wish I had gotten on my boat: 1. Trailer pole and steps — I have it now and its better than sliced bread. 2. Upgraded TM lift assist 3. Lid lifters — those gas assist things that hold the lids up. 4. 5 year Motor waranty which you get free now. Other than those few little nice to haves, my P-2 is absolutly fantastic. Just offering some things for your consideration.
Lewr, Im new to BassCat this year myself. It was a difficult choice at first because I d been in another brand for so long. Part of my Decision to purchase a Basscat was made after a gathering research from this board and through personal testimonies from individual BassCat owners. But my final decision was made after I visted our local BassCat Dealer. Their responce was nothing like I had ever experienced. On three different visits I was allowed to get up in the boats and take my time to look them over. Not once did I fell uncomfortable. I asked numerous questions and recieved prompt answers. If the dealer didnt know the answer he made a call to BassCat and got me one. Even calling me later with some of the answers. But the one thing I remember the most is before leaving the dealership on my third trip I was aproached by the dealer and the words “If you buy a BassCat youll be in the family forever”. I thought like riiight! Well im here to tell you its true! You will be in our family. The best of everything is waiting. Ive made new friends including the dealership and purchased the finest boat Ive ever owned. Good luck with your future BassCat. Glynn
