Blow Out Ring

Bill, No biggie, just take the prop off and the ring fits around the edge of the prop hub. Put it back on and off you go!Chuck

Yeah, its simple. The part only costs $12-14 from any mercury dealer. It will likely make a big difference for you also. It helped my hole shot significantly. You can also play with the PVS plugs to make it even better. KentKent Charles 2002 Pantera Classic & 200 Yamaha VMax

ive been advised that i need to get a blow out ring for my Trophy prop…is this something that i can do myself or do i need to have a shop take care of this…im just not sure what the process consists of

yes the ring is nessesary, because the hub is smaller at least that is the way ER props are raker/ renegade. esp if you want holeshot
