Left. If you have it on the right and it kicks on for some reason mine has hit the top cap when stowing it.Mine is MinnKota

I use the 3 blade hydrilla hacker on my MG. Will never hit top cap, even in the stowed position. Actually it will start to spin around the 60 – 64 mph range. When pulling trolling motor up, my feet are no where near the foot pedal. Good point though dblplsabere.

Ive got a MinnKota and leave mine turned prop to right. never has hit top cap…………..96 Eyra/12 Mercury 175 Pro XS with 2015 single axle trailer2017 Victory Gunner

On the MG Tour TM the bracket to hold the shaft is offset towards the left so when you store your TM with the prop towards the left it supports the motor better.

Right side with my MG. Doesnt hit the top cap. I noticed less water blows into my face while running if its on the right. (the extra water in the tm itself). Stupid I guess, but it stings when I get up to speed and I dont have to wipe off my costas. It also seems to fit into my cover a bit better. Its the little things!!

I also tap the motor on for a second to purge the water trapped on the back side on the prop so it doesnt blow back on me.

I keep my tm prop to the left when on the water. That puts the foot control front down, and may keep water and other stuff from blowing under the control.

Put my MK on the right. Doesnt hit my top cap plus leave my pedal level.
