Hey guys Im considering going to a Bass cat, Im looking at a Pantera 2 just wondering how is the hole shot on it. My brother has a puma ftd and its horrible on his but Im thinking its because the fuel tanks are in the back but the P2 is under the seat.

poor hole shots have nothing to do with the fuel placement. its all about how the boat is set up. could be several things including a prop that is too large. im bettin the (if Mercury) that the PVS plugs in the hub of the prop need to be adjusted. A P2 is a nice boat and you would enjoy! Good luck with your search.

Yep what Phil said, check out the PIV also little more money but I think much better boat then the PII (IMO)

Now I have both, a Puma FTD and a P-II — hopefully will find a home for my P-II soon. The Puma is a beast and very good hole shot to top end. But I have never seen a boat get up on plane as easily as my P-II — 70 plus top end too — no too shaby. That 19 foot hull is so well matched with a 200 Opti.

Depending on where you are located, you may be able to hook up with a PII or a PIV owner. I love my PII. Studied the owners board for 2+ years prior to buying a new one. It fishes much larger than a 19 boat. Have not rode in a PIV, but there is more cost with it. Good luck with your choice.Carky

My PII is for sell….listed here on the boards. The PII is a fantastic boat! I am either going to get another or maybe step up to a 20 ft rig. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Mine is a 2007 located in Alabama.
