I was changing out my batteries and noticed in the back of the boat, way down deep in the bottom, one of the transducers came loose from the bottom of the boat. What do I need to use to glue it back down. Resin, epoxy, silicone, or what do you suggest. Thanks in advance.

I would use either epoxy or resin. I would not use silicone.

Phil is correct. I have always used epoxy with good success. I dont know for sure if there is a difference in theirs and what you can purchase off the shelf, but Lowrance sells an epoxy “supposedly” formulated for their transducers. Be sure to thoroughly clean the transducer AND the hull surface before applying the epoxy. I am a bit anal so I even wipe mine off with acetone to insure there is no oil film or residue on the boat hull. You will probably get some other ideas as well, as this site has many very knowledgeable folks with many excellent tips and ideas. Have a blessed day!

Ive done this repair on a few boats, and the best epoxy Ive found is the Devcon Plastic Welder. It is a slow cure epoxy, and bonds very well with plastics and fiberglass. Mike Whitten

We suggest 24 hour epoxy, and not the five minute variety.
