I cannot recommend a known guide, but I have caught them on the upper parts of the Cahaba River, and feel certain they could be caught in the waters of Little River Canyon. They are not large fish, and are somewhat endangered, so should be released if caught. They prefer insects, nymphs, and small minnows. Their water temperature preferences are from 60-70 degrees, environmental conditions preferred are clearer waters than have shoals interrupted with deeper pools. The average fish is 12 ounces. Fly fishing would be the preferred method. You might also find some in the Sipsey River section of the Black Warrior downriver from Smith Lake Dam. The bonus there is that you would likely catch a few trout as well. There is an outfitter up there, but the name of the place escapes me.Think Trout2017 Sabre FTD AE DC2017 Yamaha 175 SHOMK Fortrex 80Helix 10 Mega SI in consoleHelix 7 GPS SI GN2 on bow
