I Got that 3.0 Liter on the ole Classic!!

All I can say is Wow!! What a difference. Feels like I put a nitrous kit on the back of my boat. Totally different experience. With my 26 Hydomotive this thing literally jumps out of the hole and doesnt stop until I hit the Rev limiter at 5850! Ive got to do some prop experimenting to try to stay out of the limiter or get the limiter changed. I wont post any #s until I get the prop situation figured out but it will be impressive to say the least. I really hadnt planned on doing this but the right deal came along and I couldnt pass it up. You have a 3.0 EFI now? They are good engines! Try a 26 Fury or move up to a 27 in another prop.

Chris it sounds like you should try a 27 Fury if your dealer will let you try before you buy, or Call DAH Props in Burlington,WI or Marks Props in Indiana and they may have a worked 27 Tempest or Trophy. I think Id try the 3 blade. With that Monster you can REALLY play with HP, go to Screamandfly.com and check out the vendors that specialize in those 3 liters. 10-4 on the 3.0 liter BCB. A friend of mine in my fishing club was selling it to get a new Pro xs optimax. He wanted the gas mileage!! I couldnt pass it up for the price and I sold mine for the same I bought his for. Thanks for the suggestions folks. I will be experimenting alot in the coming weeks. I want to get everything right for the upcoming tournament season. Ive got a 27 Trophy a friend loaned me to try for now. I may go play a little tommorrow if it isnt raining all day. I do want to try a 26 or 27 Fury. I think the right pitch is going to be a 27. The way this thing pulled my 26 Hydromotive to the rev limiter in a matter of seconds I would think Ill have no problem swinging a 27. Of course, I know the Furys are much stiffer and will turn less rpms than a similar pitched Trophy or Temptest. So, a 26 Fury may work fine. Its fun having a new toy to play with. I have a renewed love for my Classic now. This should keep me out of debt for a couple more years anyway. Ill keep everyone updated as I have new information and #s. All I know is that I have a 27 templess on my P4. I run a med load and pushing 5550 to 5600 rpms. I hit the rev limiter with a 26. I do say its a beast.

I know those 2.5 200s are lazy out the hole because i have one so im sure its like night and day and i bet you get close to or hit 80 now..
