Ive been running 250s since they were first released, and Ive used nothing but a Series 30/31 Trojan SCS 225 Deep Cycle marine battery, and it cranks just fine. This battery is rated at about 850 MCAs, and Ive never failed to crank, and I run it in a 3 battery 36 v system.Ill say this–Im ABSOLUTELY convinced that you are better off with a bigger battery with lower MCAs than a 24 series battery with high(1000 mca) rating, but less reserve.Mike Whitten/Germantown, TN
