On ethanol vs. MTBE gas, I just got a 2007 Pantera with Opti 200 that is I assume an 06 or 07 model engine. Its been run ethanol fuel until now. I can get non-ethanol gas in VT on southern Champlain, 87 octane on shore about a half hour away or 89 on the lake. In your guys with Mercs experince/opinion, is it worth running out the ethanol fuel and converting to non? It isnt always easy to get the non-ethanol fuel (I hate trying to fuel on the water) and you can NOT mix the two. Im leaning towards just staying with the ethanol added fuel because it is a newer motor and should be able to handle it as long as they dont try to add more the 10% ethanol and I use the Merc/Quicksilver recommend additives for DFIs. I have no experince with Mercs so I appreciate any feed back I can get.
