Prop ?

I have a 2008 P2 and I am running a 25P Fury with a 200 Opti. My top speed on it is 70-71. My buddy has a 2005 Pantera Classic and he is running a 27P Tempest Plus with a 200 EFi and his top speed is 75-76. Should I be running a 27p or is the P2 setup different than the Classic?

There is a difference in the torque level of a 2009 and a 1994 150 engine. BCB

We need more info:1. What is your WOT rpms?2. How is your hole shot?3. Do you have a jack plate (manual/hydraulic) and if you do, where is it set?4. What is your water pressure at WOT?Please provide this info and go from there. I would suggest getting with a dealer or other members and try different props before buying.

WOT is 5800 rpmHole shot is goodHydraulic jack plate set about 3 1/4″ below padWater pressure is between 15/20 psi

Hey, didnt know you were so close to me in Arkansas. Dont know if any help, but Im running a 24 Tempest on a 95 175 EFI. The torque will be different on a newer model 150 EFI as BC stated.Im thinking a Fury might be better. BC will know a better idea than a dealer, I believe, because there arent many Eyras around for a dealer to check out.BTW, 52 gal of gas? We like propellers in the 23 range or so on most Eyra hulls.

Oops……….may just be 42 gal. I dont know why but I was thinking that it had 2 26 gal. tanks.

If you have one tank it should be a 37 Gallon tank.

You can probably run a 26 Fury like I run on my Classic, I think a 27 would be to tall. But I got a 27P Trophy Plus in the Garage Sale for sale on here if interested. Keep in mind while the P2 and Classic have the same hull, the more expansive deck/storage on the PII adds about 400lbs which can affect speed. Still, there are those on here who have run the PII 75-76 in cool weather with a 26P Fury but they spent a lot of time/expense dialing in the rig/prop to run that fast. They are much better drivers then a lot of us. My best is 71-72 by myself and can live with that. If you do a search on the PII speeds you will find a lot of info on dialing her in. Have fun chasing the rabbit but be careful. Brian

Wouldnt you have to be bouncing off the limiter to prop up a size? I run a 25 Fury on my P-II / 200 ProXS and Im still about 200 RPM from the limiter and run 68ish.
