We are about finalized on the 2010 Bass Cat brochure. We have set the January time frame for release in order to get the most up to date information. Of course we still always miss something and with the late 2010 introductions this will be no different. We want them fresh for the boat shows and that trend has carried on to other competitive brands as well. There is a little twist on the 2010 Bass Cat brochure before you get your hands on one. In 2010 we are making the brochure pocket sized. We put plenty of thought into the decision as we know the appearance could seem chintzy at a time like this. Though we really did not save significantly in comparison to the cost per boat, so the reason is use and ease. And we are not going to take credit for the alteration solely. It seems that we got our hands on a non marine product flyer by a friend and the danged thing was tremendously handy once we used it. Many times we have seen a person turn down a flyer as they dont want to carry a bag or brochures in a boat show. They are a little more than magazine size and there is no good place to put one other than stack it up. This ties up our hands and men dont carry purses, or we dont think so? As a result the spouse (wife) always ends up toting a carry bag for brochures or one is never picked up as they are cumbersome. With the new 2010 version, one will be able to stick a brochure in their rear pocket and proceed without a problem. The print did come down some, and we lost the impact from those large two page spreads as well as some detail, though we gained in access and usability. The only significant savings will be on small percentage mailed in the reduced mail costs, so it is not significant in the scope of a boat purchase. Our goal is that we hope it increases the use of the brochure. This way they wont all be sliding across the dash board or gathering dust in the back of the seat pocket. The one flier we had of another product has been carried, stored, coffee tabled, desked and more without ever being in the way. Then several of us printed off the 2010 brochure and did the same with it. Carrying it around without any difficulty and going on a normal routine with it in the pocket. We put a lot of thought into this as we know the appearance would be and we wanted to give you all a heads up on the reason we are changing our brochure. As with anything we do, we have a reason and we hope you too learn this. Now you should be able to stick one in your pocket! We wanted to inform the “Family”! BCB, are you planning on a booth at the Classic next year??BAYOU BANDIT
Note to self: Take reading glasses to fishing show. JK: Im sure you all put a bunch of thought and planning into this move. Id guess most of us are going home to look up the info online and then visit a dealer before taking the plunge today. Having the information available somewhere is what counts.
We are planning on a small booth at the Classic, which is what we had last season. And JohnM17, most of us probably need reading glasses anyway. Mare Marine is set to go to Timmonium last we knew. They have a Jaguar in stock and it would be there is our guess. BCBLast edited by Bass Cat Boats on November 25th, 2009, 11:13 pm, edited 1 time in total.
Will Pops and or MARE be at the Baltimore show this January representing BCB? If so, will the Jag be shown? Thanks, Curt
I think the new pocket size brochure is a good idea. I know for a fact that I have taken brochures in the past and then either left them somewhere or trashed them due to size. This was good thinking. Hope it works well and sets a trend.
Rick Could you please send me back my Diamond Divas Tabaray brochure if its still readable. I cant remember the after hours number…..
BCB, have you ever thought about making a DVD featuring all the different models and the differences of each with some on the water action. I was always a fan of watching the boats perform and I think it would go a long way to promote the boats and answer a lot of questions about them.
