I need advice

I am restoring my 1976 BassCat XXII trihull and the steering is easy to turn to the right but hard to turn to the left. When I mounted the motor I made sure it was centered. It is a single cable stering cable system. Dont know if it is originall one but I doubt it. Thanx I hope,lol.
