Minimo,Yes I have bought several over the years and most of the time if its just the tips you are ok but keep in mind it does make the rod stiffer and you loose some sensitivity and feel. I have bought some surf rods that were repaired but gave even more problems. I often break surf rods because of the casting style i present and G-loomis as well as Diawa have all replaced mine with cost of shipping. This is why I buy rods with a limited lifetime warranty. So in short you will be fine if its tips because most rods are solid at the end and toward the butt they are wound Graphite. I have well over 100 rods and reels because I fish offshore to surf to sound to lakes and from 6 foot to 13 foot rods. I have built some of my own rods and enjoy the longevity that Allstar provides and being cost effective for a blank but sensitivity is lacking. Good Luck and I hope this helps. Regards,Brian
