For added perspective here are my below pad numbers for my Eyra/200SHO soon to be 250SHO. Also, I recognize we are talking about two different hulls. My starting below pad measurement for the SHO is at 2.25″ below pad. I have no problems at 2″ below pad and I am easily running my setup at 1″ below pad with no problem with a three blade prop. Yep, there is some steering torque but you may be surprised how much higher you can go. Do your due diligence first though raising motor at 1/4″ increments!!! The RPM gain at these measurements vs. 2.75″ below net me about 150-220 plus rpms conservatively. Not sure how that adapts to your hull but it could make a big difference. Just go up in 1/4″ increments. Yep, I know its a pain to manually wrench up ad down but you may be very surprised you get with the 26p Fury vs. spending money on another prop. I was getting 5800 rpms with 26p Fury on my Eyra 200SHO for your reference. Keep an eye on WPSIs. On my Eyra at 1″ below pad I am getting 17 psi and up at WOT. I should have my new motor in 10 days. Ill be starting with a 26p Hydromotive four blade prop that converts to 27p three blade prop. This prop will be my tournament prop to carry the load. I expect to be about .7 mph slower then three blades but Ill get tons of control and drastic reduction of chine walk. I wont really push it till I am completely comfortable behind the wheel. Next fall I look forward to putting the pedal to the metal at that time to see what I can find out with my setup. Always, always respect these toys and be safe!
