My pump on my recirculation went out this weekend. I tested the pump externally and its definitely bad. I was thinking about replacing it with a 1000gph pump instead of the 750gph pump it has now. Just wondering if this will cause any issues with the live well system. Also the back light in my fuel gauge went out, just wondering if it needs to be replaced, all the wires coming from it seem to be ok.thanksbasscat24

The older dashes would not handle the 1000 GPH pumps as well. Some work fine, though some do not. There really is not a gain for a 1000 GPH pump as the outlet wont handle the volume. You simply have more restrictions and there is already significant head pressure that will not increase, as the impeller and output are the same. BCB

Thanks for the pump feed back. What do you think about the backlight going out in the fuel gauge, all the wires seem to be clean and tight.2008 p2thanksbasscat24

It should be just a bulb, though if this is an internal gauge issue and the engine is a Mercury it is under the engine warranty.

Its a telaflex gauge not a smartcraft could it still be motor relatedbasscat24

Dont know where the Teleflex gauge came from as BCB has not used Teleflex since about 1983.
