Still fiddling with the new 24″ SHO prop on the 175. P to P measurement is right at 3.5″ now. River was MOVING today…Id estimate it easily at 3 miles per hour. If you were directly in the current trying to fish a cut, the Fortrex had to be on 70% to maintain position. Did manage to catch a few fish though…just keepers, nothing of any real size. Going down river, I managed to control things up to 68 and about 5800-5900 rpm before losing it to the chine. 30 gallons of fuel. Im getting better though. Theres still another bump left on the trim running that fast, so its not doing all it can do yet. That last bump really gets it on the back of the pad, and it gets squirrelly in a hurry. Its a dual console with a Fortrex 80, so I may not see much over 70 in cooler weather, at about 6K rpm, if my calculations turn out to be correct. By myself. Going upriver, the best I could get was 65-66 mph. River was still muddy. The one small creek I went up in was starting to clean up, but water temps were 83. Starboard side has the net when not in use, small fire extinguisher, pliars, towel, scent stuff, and magic lube.Probably because of the weight distribution, the boat will stay down until about 4K. At 4200, it jumps up out of the water and picks up 6-8 mph. It just keeps lifting beyond that with each bump of the trim. Little bumps…Fun boat to drive. Like driving a high powered Go Kart.
