What would cause the fuse to melt. This is the second bank to do this in a year. Ive checked the batteries and the connections. Im not sure how old the charger is, it came with the boat 07 model. I guess Ill be shopping for a new charger. Will any of the new chargers holes line up. Thanks in advance.

460d installed in a boat I wouldnt expect was a Bcb install? I have a 460d from 2009 boat but that was a minn Kota staffer and still it wasnt installed? Ive used it as an external With clips for 9 years now. Im a rookie at wiring but the only way u melt the fuse distal to the thermistor is to either have bad Thermistor or substantial resistance before that fuse. Id pull fuse holder apart, change fuse, check for corrosion. Minn nota sells replacement wires with blade fuses of need be-C.O.D. Jr. III

I had it happen once when I left the plug in cord loose in the Bildge area and it came in contact with the battery terminals and shorted everything out

If you get a new charger, the holes likely wont line up. Then, all you have to do is get a piece of starboard or some type of plastic cutting board, make a template using the old holes in the boat, fasten the board to the boat, and then fasten the charger to the board. That way you can use the old holes in the boat and not have to drill more. This assumes of course that the new charger will fit in the same area. If you do go new, and with MK, stick with the PC series as it gives you more options for battery choices.
