B.A.S.S. Marshall registration

I know there are a lot of changes going on in the B.A.S.S. organization, but last year the registration for marshalls began in August. I still have not seen where you can register for the upcoming Elite tournament season to be a marshall. Help would be much appreciated. Since I live on Toledo Bend….I am extremely interested in being a marshall for that tourney and seeing what the Elites will do on my home waters. I recieved an e-mail that registration to compete in the Opens starts tomorrow, so hopefully the Elite marshall registration will be soon as well. They dont fish any different than we do.What they do different is plan.Take a hand held gps with you. You paid for it.

Very true. Id love to pre-fish with them and see how they go about eliminating water and putting together a pattern. I fish more “spots” than patterns. Not that i know for sure but when they had the classic on the red river, a friend of mine was a marshall and they frowned badly on anybody “packin” simply because of the potential to sell the info to other competitors. They did not even like the marshalls to have cell phones. Milton

I had a feeling they wouldnt particularly condone the marshalls carrying gps. I am assuming they would cover that in the pre-tournament meeting. Just an idea that Im sure most of us have had. It would be a shame though because the floatilla of boats following the guys can go and mark an area and even fish it after a competitor leaves. 2010 Rules clearly state you cannot bring a GPS, I would think that would extend into 2011.http://assets.espn.go.com/winnercomm/ou … _final.pdfPage 4 – C12 – Marshall Obligations
