Our church was partnered with the BGR (Baptist Global Response) after the earthquake. I made a trip there and it changed my perspective on life. They are the poorest country in the world, but have some of the happiest people. We built houses and community toilets for a small community. Each day we would have a Haitian helper that we would share lunch with. I would half my sandwich with my helper only to watch him share his half sandwich with over 30 kids. Each one got a crumb. Humbling experience for sure.
