purchasing new trolling motor ?

I am looking at a new motorguide tour 82 lb thrust for my cougar. What would be the best shaft length 45″ or 50″?

Depends on if you fish alot of open or big water then the 50 will be a better choice. If not the the 45 should do fine

Of course I am an outcast, but may I suggest a MK. Nothing but PROBLEMS with the MG that came on my PII. MG agreed to replace the TM, but I am kind of like Danny Glover in Lethal Weapon when he said, ” get that piece of **** out of my yard.Best Regards,CF

My last boat had a MG and my new boat has a MG. Personally my preferred choice. Both of them have run flawlessly. Nothing wrong with MK, just dont like how it fits me. Not to mention the foot switch is backwards
