I bought a new to me 2000 Cougar, noticed on several heavy rains and rough days on the water the rod locker would fill with water. After investigating it seems the rod lockers are open to the bow, whatever water enters the drain holes in the trolling motor foot pedal drains into the rod lockers. Has anyone else had this issue? Solutions or ideas on how to fix. Ideas I have thought of: build a small wall up at the front end of the rod locker to block water (not sure how), live with it and put a small drain hole at the back of the rod locker to drain water out, add a hose to the drain holes and route the hose to the back of the boat? I assume someone else has had this issue and maybe had a cleaver solution. Thanks, other wise Love the boat
