How big are you. Im 63″ 230 and I wear a large and cinch it down a little. Layers arent an issue either.
We will have someone in the factory check on it for you.
Im shorter than 63″ but close to the 230. Would a large work? Im sure it would in summer, but what about cold weather? Saw your avatar. Hows the fishing on Toledo? I live in Monroe and thinking of going in a few weeks. Bryan 03 P4.
Not to steal TXs response but da Bend is smokin hot right now. It has been very hard NOT to catch a limit of keepers and 20-30 more to go with them. We have had the best luck on small crankbaits in 4-6 ft of water with deeper water close. But i have heard people catching them on everything. good time to clean the tackle boxes out. we will be there the whole week of Thanksgiving. Let me know if you want to make a trip. I could use the break from the honey dos. gotta finish some work on the dockbrad
Thx. for the info. North, south, dont matter? We usually fish Housen, 6 mile areas. I know with it low you gotta be careful. We have a friends camp around Solans, but well prob launch more south. Where are the easiest places to launch? Cypress Bend, Lanan?
Cypress is good, I just added 60 ft to my ramp and they drew the lake down another 1.5 ft and believe it or not, the kitty likes water/needs water. AARGH!!!! so i have to trailer down the road to Big Bass or Buckeye. Buckeye isnt as steep and easier to get on and off. I tore up alot a few weeks ago on Big Basss launch, TM bracket, bow roller, bow eye came down hard and popped a hole in spare. Fun times. From Buckeye Indian Mounds are just across the lake. The texas side scares me as they didnt cut the timber in alot of areas they mainly put the bouys in the river chanel or as close as they can. Farther south, Pirates cove is esy in and out as well as the Army rec area. that is pretty much across from 6 mile. There is grass south and i cant speak of amnything north of the bridge but we have been focused around the Housen area north as well as main lake humps and flats wind permitting. Good luck and be safe
Thanks shark. Wed probably just come down and put in at Pirates cove and run across to the 6 mile area. Usual stuff? Traps, flukes, frogs?
just close your eyes, reach in the tackle box and pull something out. our latest bait of choice has been the 100 and 200 series bandits, all colors have produced but the “smokey joe” has been the best. lost a good one on a frog but havent had much action on them and the bite has been so fast on the cranks it is hard to switch. baby brush hogs over the grass edges and senkos over the grass has produced some. there is a flat out in the middle of the lake that has 4-8 ft of water with 20-30 ft near it. the shallow area is about 2 acres. that is where we have hammered them, i am talking about 75-100 bass a day per person. most are 12-13 in but you will scratch out a limit over that. they have either been 13.5 in or 3 lbs up. biggest in the last month was 6.12 with a dozen between 5-6 and 30 or so between 4-5. also the crappie are moving a little shallower and if you can catch it about a day or 2 after a front you can load an ice chest right now. i am hesitant to give u GPS coordinates of the mid lake spot ut find some shallow flat with deep water nearby and you should be on them for the nextfew weeks. my cousin fished some grass flat in 6 mile last weekend (nov 6-7) and caught some nice ones with his wife and kids. some on topwater and some on plastic.
Thanks, shark. Dont want your GPS coords…..well….no. no I dont I hope we can get over there in the next few weeks. Bryan.
I saw where the XL lifejackets were backordered. Any idea when they will be available? I have asked my wife for one for Christmas. Or should she go ahead and order one anyway and wait. Thanks.
I dont know but I like them the way they are. In fact I like them so well I have 4 different sizes in my Jag and have4 more in my Bennington pontoon boat.Johnny
