Smartcraft and GPS speed

Does BCB usually rig these together so the Smartcraft is getting speed data from a Humminbird 997 puck? It seems that my Smartcraft speed and Humminbird display arent showing the same speed, but it may be that it is hard to see both at the same time due to teary eyes! 09 Puma FTD. Thanks-

Unless theyve changed, they generally dont hook them up. There are some instructions, I think in the FAQs.

No because sometimes we use the receiver on the front unit, and it would have to be powered up. We stay with Pitot tube readings.

You can go into CAL on your SmartCraft and adjust the speed calibration to get the speedo very close to GPS if you want..Most just use the HB gps as their speedo..Sherm
