maybe some of you old timers can remember? years ago there was a buzzbait on the market called a Top pop it was a small buzzbait with a flat head.It was a great bait for smallmouth and big heads alike. Does anyone know if they are still around ? Still have a few but would really like to buy some more!Maybe find someone that can make them. They are very different and make a clicking sound by bending the blade so that it ticks the flat head of the bait.I believe they were made in Tenn. How about guys show your age!!!

That was a generic “clacker” head and should still be made by some home companies from that bulk mold.

I remember a buzzbait like that. Had a flat head. Could keep arm bent out and it was regular buzzer. Bend in and the blade would hit the lead head, making noise. The ones I had had a small groove where the blade swept through.Broke the arm on it last year. I believe they were made by Billy Wesmorlyn. Spelling may be wrong or name its been a while.

Go to the bassboatcentral “lures and fishing stuff – sponsor sales” and post this. There are several guys on there that can custom make something lie this and they do good work too. I would contact Joey Watts with flatland lures first then go from there. I had some made similar to this molded off the old Buzz-n-bug made by Okiebug. They went out of business and I ran out of them so I had a board sponsor on BBC make them. There are loud as hell! I can get you a pic if you want

I do a buzz bait with a planer style head and sell a ton of them. Cannot bend the arm on mine to hit the head like that though. Thanks

I thought the Top Prop had a propeller head onto a skirt and it floated. when you crank on it the prop would rotate somewhat like a frog comming thru the pads

this is called a Top Pop, it has a distinct sound and bass cant stand it!!!! maybe i can figure out how to post some pics
