Aft nav light

I am having trouble with my aft nav. light I am not getting any voltage to the socket there for the light is not working. The front is working just fine and it is not the light itself because it works in the front socket anybody got any ideas. Thanks Rickey

first have you tried the front navswitch. Next what year model. Last it is most common for wires to break off that rear socket under the deck and you can check that reaching under from the rear access, or by removing the rear cowl vent.

It is an 07 sabre I have checked the voltage coming out of the socket it is only getting about 3 volts. No wires are broken. How do you remove the socket and the cowl vent? Also tried the front nav switch.

If the front nav switch is not working, then it sounds like a wire issue. Surprised that you have 3 volts though? Use a #2 Square Drive bit and remove the cowl vent. BCB

You could have a wire that is almost broken, like hanging on by one or two strands, causing a very high resistance, and dropping your voltage, or ALOT of corrosion on the terminals. (Edit) Sorry didnt see it was an 07, probably not corrosion, check for broken wire
