The handrail light on port side is out completely how do I replace or is there a connection that may have came loose.

I assume this is on a 2009 model or later? If so i believe that is a one piece acryllic tube, the newer model have a two piece hand rail, (thus two lights fwd/aft). Im gonna guess the install is still the same though as the two piece, there should be one or two allen screws holding the hand rail in place where the stanhchion meets in the center. Loosen those up and let the fun begin, get a good firm grip on the rail and slowly begin twisting, and turning and pulling either forward or aft till it pops free from the gunnel, there is a wire connection on the end of the hand rail to the lights. I know this is how the two piece systm comes out, maybe BCB can chime in on the one piece and say if the connection is on the front of the tube or the aft side, so you know which way to pull! Theres really only one way in and out for these things. And it will be in there pretty tight!Last edited by JSLAW on March 15th, 2011, 4:54 pm, edited 1 time in total.

The most common are the split rails, where you can remove the allen screw and slide the rial backwards, then remove the rail to pull the wiring out and check to see if power exists there. There are not many full rail models, though they are definitely more effort on a repair. BNCB

I have a 2006 Puma also. I had the 1 piece rail and found the silicone had let go holding the lights to the rail. Replace it with a 2 piece rail and changed the stantion to the proper type. Pulled the seat pan and plenty of room to work on it and get to the wiring.

Actually you dont have to replace the stanchion, as you can use clear RTV to fasten the front and rear pieces together inside the stanchion.
