Question for Bcb or anyone that knows. My friends 14 Puma ftd rubrail is loose by the drivers console. A area about 3ft. Rivets? Screws?. Just trying to get a game plan before the repair. Well, if they have it then Barbour is using our mold for other parts. That appears to be Bass Cat bump moulding on the left image, though the mushroom T strip is not listed. It also shows that part in tube rail is out of stock. Which means they have not run our part number to hold a retain batch for sale. BCB Parts would be glad to help them out with the right parts and custom T moulding that is our design.BCB

Bass Cat not only has the custom molded mushroom capped T insert, they also have high durometer (hardness) requirements and that material does cost more. We had a minor issue last year that required the T strip to be urethaned in place, as a new vendor copied the mold and came in with a price reduction. Less cost is not necessarly better as their railing was way too soft in the sunshine and required gluing in the field. Our expectations are high and our tolerances are tight.

Thank you BCB. I hate dealing with the insurance companies, they want to get out as cheap as possible and act like youre trying to get over on them when you demand OEM parts. They are machine screwed with a nylock nut every 3-4 and they are riveted with a special grip range rivet custom made in 4″ sequences.
