Is there a trick to keeping the screws that hold the windsheilds on from coming loose?Thanks in advance.

I just check them once in a while and tighten. I have never had any come all the way out.

A tiny daub of silicone on the threads works pretty good . — Key word here being TINY !! ——- Hoss

I have got mine off removing some unwanted stickers. I am polishing with SAFE CUT. to clean and remove fine scratches. When I install I am going to do just as bigcatter suggested. And might seem obvious but hand screw only — no power screw drivers or drills.

Ah! Silicone adhesive just might work. I take my windshields off once a month to clean under them so maybe I might be enlarging the holes. I only hand tighten just snug.Thanks!!

I borrowed the swiffer duster to clean where I cant reach under the windshield. Does a good job and I rarely remove the shields. Too much chance of enlarging the holes.

Once a month is a lot. We usually try to slip a thin cotton shredded cloth under the gap. Then slide it bak and forth without removing the windscreen.

I replaced the corner screws with machine screw and Mylar nut.

You can also use a wrap or two of teflon tape. Have used it in the past and worked well.pant 2Bob
