Powerpole pump mounting

When installing pumps on rear storage box walls in front of the fuel tanks, do you use the rectanguler rubber gasket between the pump housing and the wall or just let the pump housing seat against the fiberglass..it shows to have a rubber gasket when mounting with the L bracket but not sure it is needed when seating against the fiberglass..

We would use the rubber Gasket if you have it.

I have tried it both ways “with and without the gasket” pump seems more solid WITHOUT the gasket seated directly to the fiberglass wall..wondering if the gasket is used when BCB installs them at the factory?

Mine dont have the gasket, and they are tight. Factory installed in 2011.

Thanks Sparker..i mounted them without the rubber gasket and they are solid, seated straight to the fiberglass wall..

I only have 1 power pole so my pump was installed on the rear seat pole w/ a type of u-bolt by the dealer I purchased it from.
