Some friends and I took a 4 day trip up to St.Clair this past weekend,(the same days as the Elite series), to camp and fish and check out a weigh in… This boat crushed it! Got into some rough water Thursday morning running from Metro DNR ramp to Belle River Hump, boat traffic in the St. Clair river channels and the Carcal was a solid prefomer! With 2 guys, 43 gallons of fuel, 20 rods, and every compartment stuffed we wound it out to 71 in the river on some slick water and 70 on the lake (minus 10 gallon or so of fuel). I wished Id had my Bravo 1xs that showed up after we hit the road on Thursday. The 25 fury did ok, but struggled mid range with lift in the moderate chop. The wide and deep hull on this model is a homerun and the responsive handling is flat out amazing. I just wish I had that underseat storage the 16s have damnit! And the bunks!Colin
