Im just about to do some maintenance on my wheel bearing, and I noticed in this post: http://basscatowners.yuku.com/reply/179 … ply-179080BCB says to score the end caps…. and that directions on that can be found in FAQ… I did a pretty comprehensive search of FAQ for scoring, but I cant find anything. Can anyone describe what this means?

Scoring of the bore where the bearing buddy goes is a old trick to insure tightness. Alot of old timers use to put little center punch marks all around the bore when a bearing race was loose. This is the same princable2013 PANTERA 2MERCURY 200 PRO XSMINNKOTA 80LB FORTREX25 fury

Bass Cat has only used oil bath hubs in testing, they have never been used on retail boats.
