That kit is available and we will be marketing it for all brands. The lights are a custom LED build and they do hang below the rub rail. They screw into the underside of the rub rail. The wiring goes in through the rub rail and is tied behind the backside. The switching is right or left for tunring them on. BCB
Sounds great! I would like to see an 09, if it looks good then I would like a retro kit myself.
Very nice ! A must for my PII. Tim
Try http://www.bluewaterled.com . I havent tried them yet but im looking into installing some in the rubrail. Talk to Lucy about them and see if this is what your looking for.
The BCB blacklights in the Nightstalker kit are directional, and are small 4 light LED combos per light. Which means a kit of 6 gives you 12 lights directed per side. They will fit under the rub rail nicely on your P2, and you may have to drill each individual wire into the boat instead of running them down and drilling one hole like on the newer rub rail. They work pretty well and are not are bright as a Stan Sloan piggyback kit. Though they are bright enough for use. Some folks are running up to 6 per side, and you can do that. The LED in the rub rail looks good, though we have not used that and we would not due to shrinkage of rub rail insert and more common impact damage that may occur. You could knock these off, though they are protected pretty well. BCB
Well Thanks Iceman I was only after a black light now I have added deck lights as well!!!Lucy was really helpful when I spoke to her! Thanks I hate the thought of having to dill holes in my cat. Are there any portable black lights worth looking at? Anything I can hook to the battery or outlet plug? Thanks! Steve
The holes are under the rub rail and into the rub rail. There are no exposed holes in the fiberglass. You drill underneath the rub rail and run the screws up and the wires up through a hole. Then you remove the rope or tube center and drill through there in between the rivets or bolts. The holes are not noticed. The install is pretty slick and the only holes in the glass are hidden. BCB
I C That is a slick install! I would still like to look around and perhaps find a good portable light if anyone knows of one. Im just kicking around ideas of how I want to set things up. Thanks, Steve
WV, might take a look at these. I have the atom. Great light and as good as the Stan Sloans model. And a LOT smaller. May have to copy and paste the link. http://www.conquistadorta…iEye/NucliEyeExteme.html
hey wv have you ever fished the h & S trail there in wv
No I havent. I have fished the Tri-cities (Morgantown, Fairmont, Clarksburg) club. That was 3-4 years ago. Since than I have moved from that area. To the South-eastern part of the state. I havent Tounry fished for a few years due to work and all that. But planing to get back into it this spring/summer. We do most of our fishing in Va. (Lake MooMaw). There are a few little lakes (if that is what you want to call them I call them big ponds) TM only type deals. Well go to Stonewall Jackson Lake and pleasure fish for a few days. I do go to TN and fish as well (mostly take my folks out and let them fish). I got me some deck lights ordered yesterday from Bluewater LED. Ill have to post some pictures once I get them installed! This night fishing stuff is new to me, I have only fished a few time at night (never really did any good). This club once the weather warms up will have several night tournys (well every Friday night). So thought I should go ahead and get some lights. So Im open for any Night fishing tips if anyone has any?!?!?! Thanks, Steve
i lived in princeton a year ago servicing the coal fields and we fished a couple of night tounaments on claytor. We did our best at night fishing dropp shots on big drop offs.
Well, unfortunately in my opinion they do very little to enhance your night fishing…they look cool but I had to invest in LEDs to solve the problem and they work great…dont waste your $ on the Basscat lights.Sorry for the bad news.
They are not as intense as Stan Sloan lights, though we all use them and we do sell plenty on all brands to folks that use them and like them. A set of three per side is probably not enough and we prefer to have 6 per side. BCB
I saw a boat last weekend that looked like the entire rub-rail was a black light . — It went all the way down both sides , and it was bright . — Havent been able to find it yet , but Im looking . — Looked pretty cool running down the lake too .
