Sportsman I always got 71.5 wide out with two people and Tourney ready. That P4 was the most consistent steady driving boat that I have owned. By the way, that was a 2004 model with the 3 liter Mercury EFI. Your results might be different with the Merc ProXS. Phil is correct with his estimate.Everyone should believe in something. I believe Ill just go fishing!
I have a 2013 P4 and I consistently see 72 mph with a tournament load of gear, 1/2 tank of gas, no water in wells. It was 95 here in Houston today and I hit 72.1 this afternoon. I saw 70.4 mph last weekend with same load but with full wells. I weigh between 195-200 depending on the day. LOL. Fastest speed I have attained was 74.5 mph. Air Temps in 40s that day. I havent moved the motor from the factory setting. Hope that helps.
I have a 2013 P4 with a 200 SHO with a 25 fury. My top speed has only been 69.8 on the GPS with a full load. I do have about 500 rpms to go reach the 6000 RPMS limiter. I think if I drop to a 24 pitch fury, I should gain a few more MPHS. I also fish mostly smaller lakes and really do not have the room to let her eat for long periods of time. Ed
2013 P4 with 200 pro xs. 2 power pole blades. Half tank with more soft plastics than could be used in 3 years. 31 agm starting battery and 2 27s for troller. 25 fury at 5500 in the summer speed is 68, winter 5600 and speed 70. This is with no water in live wells. I do think the best prop for my boat would be a 24p fury for all around use.
I am running a 200 Yamaha with a 4 battery(starter battery 31 AGM) set up and a Minn Kota troller. With that load and a half tank of fuel I have never been able to break 69mph. With that being said I new I would sacrifice some speed with the extra weight.
2013 w/ Merc 200, fairly light tackle load, only about 10+ rods and probably 50-60lbs of tackle at the most. Im 265lbs and saw 69mph by myself a few weeks ago, with main tank full and reserve tank empty.13 PIV w/ 200 MercIG: WarriorRiverCustomRods
