2015 margay with a 150 pro xs, boat gets on plane great and is very fast. Only one problem… When I get it up on the pad and get above 60 it violently chime walks. Ive been in basscats where it begins to chime walk and gets progressively worse but this gets very bad right off the bat. What should my engine height be? Would it being too high or low have anything to do with it? Or should I just deal with it? I know seat time will help, just wondering if the engine height would help also. Thanks!!

Do a search in chine walk in this forum . — Excellent information available !! — If hole shot is good and youre over 60 on top , Id think motor height would be pretty close . — Over trimming could cause this problem . — Kittys dont like a lot of trim . — ( Throttle is power , trim is speed . ) Seat time is the biggest factor in learning how to handle it , and once you do I think youll see high 60s out of her . — Take it easy until you get a handle on it . — Hoss

Margay engines have to be raised some over the factory set up as they are low transom for smaller engines. Those who run larger engines usually have to raise them and there is some information on here about that also. BCB

I measured it dead on 24 inches. this about right or should I move it up some?
