From what the description said, some guys at the dock had told this guy that if he drained 3 quarts of oil out and replaced it with water, it would free it up to flow easier and release more horsepower. He did it. He said it did seem more powerful at first and he ran offshore about 10 miles before it started making a strange sound. He came back in on his other engine. Then there was a video of his engine with the cowl off asking if the knocking sound was normal.
