If youre fishing in waves, I get the 60 inch shaft. Actually I get a 54 inch shaft, but that wasnt available in the size I wanted, so I got a 60 and had it cut down. I also have a side imaging transducer on my bow, so dealing with the cable takes a little bit of futzing. I have not heard if this new motor is the same as my Terrova, but I ran the cable through the groove in the shaft, had to remove the entire head to do this so I cut the shaft at the same time. I did it at a service center in order to keep the warranty. Im interested to hear how it works out after youve done it, as Im considering putting another Terova on my classic, I have a cable steer now and Im debating going back.
