Headed to Toledo this weekend with the family and will be staying at Cypress Bend. Ill get out and fish Saturday and Sunday mornings so if youre out there and you see a white and black Cougar with a touch of red stop and say HI. Been hearing some good reports from there both in the grass and deep ledges. Now I just need to decide where to start. We have been catching a lot of fish on crankbaits in the mid lake area. the bite seem to be best in the late afternoon for us.

Registration starts at 5 at cypress bend$100 a boat (team event) + $10 big bass (optional)Safe daylight – 3pm100% payback based on 1 place per every 7 boatsLooking like we will have a great turnout! Hoping for 20-30 boats

I also hear the white bass are schooling like crazy. That could be fun. If you get in the right school you might sink the boat. Catching a bunch of em on A-rigs.

07Puma—hope the tournament went well this past Saturday. Had to be off the water at noon Saturday so I didnt think it would be a good idea to try and fish the tournament. Plus, Im pretty sure my 10-11 lbs would not have done any good. What won by the way?2017 Eyra / 250 Merc Pro XS

Thats a pretty good turnout. And it looks like a lot of teams caught some good ones, like I figured they would. Congrats to the winners. I would have finished top 20… Not too bad for a rookie like me.2017 Eyra / 250 Merc Pro XS

I was very impressed with the turnout. We were able to pay $1400 for first place! Not too bad for something we threw together in a couple of weeks. Sam and I had a great day, but fell a little short. Had one big one break off and dropped 3 others over 5lbs. But Ill take 2nd in a field as stacked as this one was.
