Topic: Fuel line plugged on 99 P3

Hey guys, been a while since Ive been here. I had my 99 P3 out the other day and went to switch tanks. It ran fine before and when I switched over to the port tank, which was 3/4 it ran until the line went dry. The ball was collapsed. When I switched to the other tank the ball inflated, I pumped it up and it ran fine. Im trying to figure out whether it is the switch or something in the line to the tank. Maybe a check valve somewhere? Any advice where to start would be much appreciated. I havent had many problems with this boat in the 10 years Ive owned it.1999 Pantera III 1999 200 Opti 25P Tempest Minn Kota Maxxum 70 2 Pinpoint 7520s

Possibly a cap/tank vent plugged..??? Pro-Tec Productswww.protecproducts.com

I have a 99 Classic. I replaced all the fuel lines because they were 14 years old. You will not be wasting money with new fuel lines even if that is not your problem. You can use the new fuel bulb to pump some fuel through the valve before hooking the line to the engine. As above, make sure the tank vent is not plugged.

Thanks for the link guys. Good info. I havent dug into it yet, just been using the starboard tank. I do know that the selector is in the right position, the fuel line from selector to motor has been replaced, and the boat is always indoor so I dont think its mud dobbers. It could be something in the tank that got dropped in there from somewhere and is lodging on the fuel pick up. We have seen plastic bags, lids foil caps and more cause issues.
