I have a 2003 Pantera Classic with a manual jackplate, to which I’ve mounted a Transducer Shield and Saver bracket for my Humminbird HDSI transducer, as pictured below. TS&S recommends a 1.5” spacer for all models of basscats in order for the side-imaging signal to clear the sponsons on either side. Lakes are still very frozen here and the boat is wrapped, but I’m trying to get some rigging stuff taken care of before ice-out, so hoping to get some feedback before I’ll be able to get on the water…I did the rigging over the winter and looking at the setup it appears that the transducer is probably fine as-is—if the sponsons will interfere it will only be very, very minimally. I’m tempted to leave it for now, but I have to order some other stuff from Transducer Shield and Saver so thought I’d try to get some info and order it all at once if anyone knows for certain.Does anyone else have this same setup and if so do you need the spacer, or do you get good side-imaging readouts without the spacer? Heres the photo from my album here–hopefully this works:http://images.yuku.com.s3.amazonaws.com … 1dddb2.jpg
