No fuse there, so we think they left a ground wire off. Also check the ground wire that is isolated to the trim sender, as it should be separate of the system to prevent trash feeds on the ground. The lights have no power in the switch, and are turned on by the BP-101 dash once the mercury switches make contact. There is also a 2 second delay. Turn the power switch on, off and on again to be sure it did not time out. The rear lids on some Jaguars were switches and those could be staying open. If any of the switches stay open, the system will time off in ten minutes. BCB BCB

Pulled the positive wires off the battery, cleaned with a wire brush and cover with dielectric grease. Connected them back up and tightened real well and it seems to have solved the problem. I think it was effecting the dash and timers…..

I think my dash is toast…I went out after dinner and its doing the same thing. Counting down from 5 to 1 for dash brightness and I cant stop it no matter what I do. I have re-set about 6 times but it doesnt change anything, also put some dielectric grease on the plug and changed the connectors in the battery that power all the smaller items, I give up………..what next………?????

Old Dawg, Once you have that thing ready to store from those blustery NE days, send that BP unit to BCB and let the wiring staff give it a look see. You can pull the dash fairly easy, though it sounds like it could be toasted, it could also be a fualty sender on something scrambling the processor. BCB Admin

It is your main battery. It is getting weak or needs a good charge! Lowrance units will shut off when voltage is drawn down too much, like when starting up the engine…..had the same thing happen to me. I bought the sears die hard platinum 31 battery. No more problems.

Before buying a new battery, I would check the ground wires for all assessories. I was having a similar problem, and all of the ground wires on the terminal board (attached to the inside transom,right side) were really corroded. I have a 2002 Sabre, but I bet your boat is set up in a similar manner.

I had the same problem. I wired unit directly to cranking battery and problem was fixed.

There is no fuse panel, circuit breakers only, on master power lead from cranking battery, and each trolling lead. Terminal block is mounted in the sump on the transom wall.
