Topic: NexSysLink Gage issue

BCB,I have a 2015 Bass Cat Eyra. Yesterday while in a tournament, my engine started to miss/hesitate on the hole shot (Yahama 200 SHO). After setting for a few seconds the miss went away and my NexSysLink gages started scrolling though all functions (Fuel, Time, Trip, temp, ect). After i got back to the ramp and trailered the boat to turned on the key switch to see if it was still doing it. It was not. Today I went out to clean my boat out and when I turned on the key switch it started scrolling again and wouldnt stop. Please advise. Does this have anything to do with my engine hesistation and is there a way to reset the gages to correct this problem?

You have two separate issues. The up/ down/ enter panel needs to be replaced. Very quick ( less than 5 minutes). The miss on the engine is another animal and should be addressed by a qualified mech. The computers can tell almost anything that is wrong right away.

The touch pad replacement is fairly simple and the factory will provide a touch pad. BCB

Thanks for the feedback. I will get with my dealer where I bought the boat for the replacement touch pad and have the engine analyzed.

As usual bass cat customer service is spot on. My new switch is on the way. Thanks Richard! I will update when I get it installed. I will be taking the boat in for motor service tomorrow.

If it is an effort to get to your dealer, the NexSys Link touch pad install is a peel and stick, plug and play ribbon tape connection, 5 mins to do so. On mine I needed to chamfer the inside edge of the slot that the ribbon goes through to give it a little more room and minimize bending of the ribbon tape through the slot.

I received and installed the new switch after chamferring the slot. Works great with no other issues. As far as the engine miss, I didnt take it in as I wanted to run it again to see if it was just a fluke. Ran great for 2 trips but missed again yesterday after switching the the left fuel tank. I think I might have gotten some bad fuel.
