flipping deck puma ftd

anyone else want a flipping deck for their puma ftd? ranger makes one for their boats i like the wai it works. im thinking about making one unless you guysknow of someone who already does?

Im not really sure what it is your wanting to do? I cant for the life of me figure out where on a Puma ftd a flippin deck would go, the only open are is the stepup/cooler lid/daybox area and surely there is no need to cover that area up?

my dad is getting older, i would rather have him up front sitting in the hole next to the consoles so i can help him versus him sitting in the back by himself. so yes i want to cover that area up and make it more of a deck for him…….

That would be a very big step up for someone who is “getting older”……..the good news is that there is a spot to put a chair in the middle of the boat for fishing. I dont see how your going to make that part of the deck level all the way across without loosing your cooler and day box.I have a Puma, and comfortably fish two out of the front.

With every solution is a trade off. I have the flippin deck in my Sabre. You do gain deck space. The trade off is a honkin big step to get up and down.

I have the Flippin deck on my Pantera Classic and as said it is truly awesome. That large step is getting taller as I grow older.

im going to have to trade off loosing the cooler and day box if i do anything, i added the second console which is kind of like my day box….. i didnt think about the big step for him……sounds like some engineering is coming soon lol…..ill post pictures of what i come up with….

i figured out how im going to do this. will take some welding and bending with aluminum sheet metal 3/16……… sorry for resurecting a old thread. but i wont lose access to the ice chest or the day box. i will start making them if people have requests…
