Im sure this has been asked before, Is it possible to install a recessed-retractable rod straps (Rod Buckle) in the gunnel on the front deck of a 2014 Cougar FTD? Will this void the warranty/weaken the structure of the boat?
I posted this under another thread yesterday. One option other than drilling the gunwales.Hers an option that allows you to conceal the faceplate and assembly under the deck. Looks like all you would have is a small slot in the deck instead of having to drill out your gunwale (makes my cringe thinking about it). Of course, it looks like water intrusion might be a factor, but not much of one. I think I would prefer this to drilling into the side. BCB installed mine under the front deck on my PII and they work great!! I will never go back to velcro or bungee cords again. I will try to grab some pictures of them tomorrow.
