WIFE ASKED ME ABOUT THE WEATHER FOR THE O.I SO SHE CAN EITHER PACK OR IN HER CASE BUY NEW CLOTHES FOR THIS. IF ANY TEXAS FOLKS COULD CHIME IN I WOULD APPRECIATE IT.
I always pack for wind, rain, cold and sunny. I usually dont bring enough cold weather clothes. Just never know when the fronts move through.GeorgeGeorge
It could be sunny and 75*, or rainin like a cow pn on a flat rock and 45*. Either way the wind will be blowing, and the day before the event a record smashing cold front will pass through with storms including tornados, floods, and/or snow !
Jeans, shirt, sweatshirt, jacket, waterproof footwear, rainsuit, spare clothes, shorts. Regardless of the weather, there are a lot of fish in that lake and they bite pretty good in early April.
My Dad taught me early on to dress in layers – you can always take them off, but if you dont have them you can not put them on. A good rain suit is a must, not only for bad weather but as a wind breaker. If it does get a bit nippy in the morning a ski mask or equivalent is nice to have while running on pad. Also dont forget gloves and some good shoes that are waterproof.
