So, when returning to the parking lot last night, I noticed that I broke a break line on my trailer. A small metal tube about the size of a coffee straw is broke, its supposed to be attached to a rubber tube and then the brake its self.. I assume I can just replace said small metal tube.. but have no idea how to bleed the system with new break fluid. The part broken goes from a coupler that has a “T” and is the smaller hose running to he wheel. The other hoses in the T go to the other wheel, and the front of the trailer. Or, since I am a mechanical I D I O T , should I bring this to a professional.. and if so, how much will this cost approx?

When you replace it, go rubber al the way to the T and Caliper. Go ahead and replace all those short lines while your having this done. The main line from the Coupler and across the Axle should be fine. If your not confident, then go to a brake shop or small garage. A small job shop can easily handle this and they would not have to ASE certified.

Rehashing a really old post but I did some searching on my problem and this is the post that most closely covers it, although I still have questions: I need to go from the T connection on the axle to the starboard caliper. My old caliper had a short steel line coming out to the hose which allowed the hose to be attached without spinning the hose. The way is is now, you cant attach a hose directly, as UFP told me to do and this post also states because it is a fixed threaded piece on both ends (one side has to spin to be able to tighten). I cant find an shorty length steel line anywhere on line. The shortest I can find is 8″. Does anyone know where I can find a 1″ or 2″ steel line that will allow me to hook up the flexible brake hose?Thanks

If you have any troubles beyond the existing post above we suggest you contact the factory. They do not suggest a 1″ to 2″ steel line. BCB
