Any accessories to add with those?stereo and seat speakerssingle or dual console and large or small windscreenscarpeted step box, seat, or fiberglass step between the driver and passenger seatrod organizer battery trays – standard or aluminumjack plate – hydraulic or manual and brand (Detwiler or Atlas)Pro Trim – single, dual, or nonePower Poles – Talon or Power Pole brandguages – analog standard or NexSys Bass Cat gaugesrod straps – velcro, bungee, or retractableTrailer wheels – 3 different choicesTrailer step and grab postTrailer reverse lights – none, 1, or 2brakes – dual or single axlespare hub for trailerboat cover – Sunbrella material (best) in black or other colors in AqualonI might have missed a couple of things to choose between, but it would be too difficult to tell you what you need over what you want. The most popular colors for the boat today are darker colors in red, white, black, charcoals, silvers. The most popular color for carpet is Ash (darker gray).Good luck making your choices.
Hi Philthanks for that infoi have all the traditional options but wanted to know if there were some thing that is never mentioned but makes for a great option after the fact, like lights on the gunnel of the front deck?also for example, hydrollic jack plate? is the cougar a finiky hull to set up or is a manual jack plate suficiant?i will be running the new evenrude G2 HOregJK
Some think the hydraulic JP is fluff. I myself think it is priceless, I went with the ATLAS because of the ease to mount Power Poles. Also if you go with Humminbird SI electronics I would get the side imaging transducer mounted on the JP. Enjoy that boat and motor combo, it will be a beast on the water.BrianBrianHAWG Hunter2013 BassCat Eyra2013 Mercury 250 Pro XS Gen2 L/U
If money is no problem I would just buy a Jaguar and load it up, then you know you will have no regrets wishing you had went bigger or got this or that.Dan
Most of us dont have a knowledge of acreage on the waters you fish. How large (acres) are they and how far is it across open waters? Do you still have to navigate around timber and is there standing timber? You have changed your Inquiry question and the Jaguar is the ultimate boat, though it also is very large. You just have to have spent time in a Jaguar to understand how large it is and the niceties it has. If size is no question then perhaps it will suit you. If your waters are not overly large and nimble handling and speed is your direction, then the Cougar FTD is a great boat and will do a fine job while running into the higher 70 MPH and 80 MPH with 250 engines. Jaguar models run to the lower 70s and upper 60s loaded. Jaguar models come loaded with most everything, Sony 910 stereo on down other than you select your preferred graphs. Of course other than stereo the new Premium models, in 2015, all have most equipment with battery trays and color options included. We want to let this thread be customer opinion and only jumped to share the understanding of size the Jaguar hull is. The bow has 7″ more depth than the Puma and Cougar hull. Its just amazingly large and does run good for its size. Thank you for the info, our waters are not overly large but are big enough to be swamped on a smaller boat, I am running a Triton 21 HP at this stage and enjoy the size of the boat, Is the Jag much bigger than the 21 Triton?? I have only had 21 foot boat and was all set for the move to the 20.4 Cougar but now I feel drawn back to the 21 Speed is not an issue so anything over 65mph is more than sufficient to keep me happyIf the 21 Jag is about the same size as the 21 Triton then I will go for that option
From reading your last post, I feel like the Jag is your boat. Its the ultimate Cadillac!
The Jaguar is considerably larger in body than the 21 Triton. The T boat company is more with the Cougar FTD in size due to the layout differences. It also performs in between the two models.Last edited by Bass Cat Boats on December 1st, 2014, 12:08 am, edited 1 time in total.
http://basscatowners.yuku.com/topic/294 … 014-JAGUARThis is a 2014, and I can get it anytime for a test ride, so, I could video ? Or whatever I can do to assist, just advise. Oh yeah, it is still for sale, and the dealer in Houston is great to work with, and could sell you a new boat ! Whatever gets you in the family.
