How many Bass Cat owners are there in Idaho? I will be moving to Coeur d alene in June and need some help learning the lakes in that area.Garry Hagins

Garry, there are a group of us just across the border in Montana, we will have a Mt bass nation qualifier on Coeur DAlene on 15-16 Jun. Well have my PIV, a Puma, a Cougar, and a Classic there for sure, maybe a 2010 Eyra and a Sabre that fish with us some years. Northern Idaho is mostly Ranger and Skeeter country. Both CDA and Pend OReille are speed limited, you can drive a couple hours over into Mt and open it up on Noxon or Flathead Lake. Youll be close enough to fish the Columbia River for world class smallmouth and 6-8 pound largemouth in the same trip, run as fast as you like for a while and face Erie storm water conditions later in the day.

We are Channing that lately. Washington and Idaho will both have more Cats in a few years.

Mike,Thanks for the information. I have a house in Pasco Washington and fished the mighty Columbia river and Snake river every chance I got. You are correct it is a world class smallmouth bass fishery. I have fished tournaments where they weighed in 9lb largemouth and 7 lb smallmouth. Some of the tournaments in the spring will take up to 30 of bass in a one day tournament to win. Bass Cat I hope you do get a bigger share of the market in the Pacific Northwest. I know that Triton, Ranger, and Skeeter are the predominant boats in that area. Years ago it was Champion bass boats because of their rough water capabilities. Good luck in the Pacific Northwest. The volumes in the northwest are very limited, though we are seeing a pop in that area recently. BCB

We would average about 100 contestants per tournament so you know that there are a lot of bass fisherman and boats. The biggest deal will be proving that the boats will hold up to the conditions of the river. Once the fisherman realize that Bass Cat boats will give them a comfortable ride in rough water and still out run the other boats you will begin to see the number of boats begin to increase. You also have a young population of bass fisherman coming up that will need boats. This generation would be a great generation to target.Garry
