Its been on the market for 5 or 6 years now and is now as reliable as anything on the market. The popular choice in a Mercury brand is the Optimax Pro XS. The Pro XS is reliable, the most fuel efficient, and probably the fastest all around outboard on the market. Optimax has been on the market now for about 12-13 years. Its the oldest designed DFI on the market. Lastly, all 20+ footer are wide body hulls. That terminology was applied in about 2005 or so when there were two versions of the hull. A standard hull and there was a wide body hull. The wide body hull has been modified several times to be what it is today.Last edited by PhilAddison on September 1st, 2011, 11:38 pm, edited 1 time in total.
