jack plate height

What is the factory set height for a manual jack plate or does anyone know how far from top of the jack plate the engine should be? 95 Pantera II 200 merc. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

3 inches below pad as far as the propshaft. Go up or down based on top end speed, rpms, holeshot blowout.

Your jack plate will be fairly low. I believe a good starting point would be center of prop shaft 2.5 inches below the pad

Anything original on a 1995 model would be out the window as time changes things a lot. It would be best to run this based on steering wheels torque on top end. If you have a lot of torque lower it, if you dont then you might be close.
