I have decided to do the gel coat repair on my PIII myself. The first step I need to do is to raise the bow of my boat off of the front roller enough to get to all of the damage. Has anybody ever done this at home in their shop or garage. Im pretty sure my engine hoist will lift it but is anything gonna happen when I start to lift the bow. I guess what Im asking is, what do I need to do to prevent a small job from becoming a disaster? I dont know what lifting the front of my boat 6″ or so will do to the balance between my boat and trailer? Any advice will be greatly appreciated!!!
